TAKE ACTION!

Catholics are horrified at the most recent revelations of cover up by bishops and cardinals.  We urge Pope Francis and the U.S. Bishops to order a full, immediate, and independent investigation of any and all allegations of cover up in the case of Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and other cases of cover up.

Victims of clergy sexual abuse and all Catholics deserve a full and transparent accounting from those in authority who handled reports of McCarrick’s exploitations and abuses. 

We join Cardinal Blase Cupich in calling for a full investigation into the facts and to engage in a robust, independent, and transparent examination of the facts with laity in leadership as a step toward re-establishing trust with Catholics in the U.S.  

We also urge all church officials to release any information pertaining to abusive clerics and those who covered up and to heed Cardinal Sean O’Malley’s call for full cooperation with law enforcement.
