This comprehensive prayer, education and advocacy resource contains information about canonically approved ways of keeping parishes open with parish administrators, deacons and lay ministers; a sample parish discernment and education process; how to seek canonical and civil redress; the experiences of parishes who resisted closure; a sample parish constitution; a “best practices” statement for catalyzing discussion about why we must keep parishes open in a time of fewer priests; prayers to use for parish vigils; prayers to use if your parish is closed and other organizing and media tools.
