Often Catholics are surprised to discover that many biblical women are omitted from the lectionary we use for Sunday and weekday Masses even though women were with Jesus all along--through his birth, public ministry, passion, death and as the primary witnesses to his Resurrection.

The Women and the Word:  Holy Week and Easter packet allows you and your faith community to include these woman during this most sacred season of our liturgical calendar.  Concrete action steps for Liturgical Cycle A, tested prayer resources for Good Friday and Pentecost, and a Stations of the Cross booklet with PowerPoint CD of both biblical and contemporary women are at your fingertips and ready to use.

Holy Week is approaching quickly so now is the time to present your suggestions and resources to liturgical planners. Go to the Magdala Market on the FutureChurch website to order resources now.

Help us keep Jesus’ promise to the anointing woman, “Wherever the gospel is proclaimed…what she has done will be told in memory of her.” (Mk 14:9)
