Sue Stanton (left), of Ames is welcomed to the Ames Public Library on July 22nd by organizers of the event, Linda White (center) and Lynne Carey, program director of the APL. Stanton's presentation, "Mary of Magdala, the Misunderstood Woman" described confusing identities of Biblical women named Mary. Stanton also shared personal experiences of her travels in the Holy Land and India where she came to better understanding of modern day women of other cultures. Over 40 people attended the event and were treated to Middle Eastern refreshments following the question and answer discussion.
