The synod closed on October 23rd, 2005 but Pope Benedict XVI is still writing the final synod exhortation. Thanks to your efforts we were successful in putting the worldwide priest shortage and married priests on the agenda of the International Synod on the Eucharist — Four of twelve Bishop small groups wanted to study married priests, but the body of Bishops did not reach consensus.There is still a chance study of expanding ordination could be included… along with positive affirmation of a celibate priesthood.
